The Kyorin University School of Medicine has embarked upon a new initiative to facilitate global interactions, both with partnered universities and with the broader international community. Established in 1966, Kyorin Medical School represents the newest of the 12 medical schools in the Tokyo metropolitan area, and is the only medical school serving the western regions of Tokyo with a population of over 4 million. Our strengths lie first and foremost in educating students and young doctors, and in providing state-of-the-art medical care, to meet the health needs of this large urban community. We have also been actively engaged in cutting-edge research in both the basic and clinical sciences, and have grown to become a leading medical research institution in Japan.

Opportunities for Joint International Research
Multiple clinical and research departments in the Kyorin Medical School conduct collaborative research at the global level, and we continue to support such endeavors by introducing Japanese government agencies and private foundations that offer research grants specifically for such international collaborations.
