Going to Japan to further improve my Skills
After graduating from medical school at a university in my home country of Vietnam, I studied internal medicine for three years. After two years of specialized training in cardiology at the then University of Paris VII, I returned to my home country and have been practicing medicine at the Tam Duc Heart Hospital ever since, covering various positions in cardiology and electrophysiology during my more than 14 years as a physician. Having worked as a specialist in cardiovascular disease, I now have a keen interest in the complexity of the cardiovascular system and catheter ablation.
Tam Duc Heart Hospital established a Department of Electrophysiology in 2008 for the intensive care of arrhythmias. All of the physicians participating there have received training abroad, and I thought it would be ideal to study in Japan, a country with advanced technology, in order to further improve my own skills. It was during this time that I had the opportunity to meet Professor Soejima of Kyorin University, whom I respect, at an international academic conference, and I chose Kyorin University as my study abroad destination because I wanted to study under Professor Soejima's guidance.
